Ballymackey u15 girls travelled to Lough Derg in the league today and suffered a 6-2 loss. Ballymackey were slow to start and were behind after 3 minutes, they girls settled and came back from the early setback to come into the game. We conceded another goal half way through to leave the score at half time 2-0, the girls regrouped and came out a different team at the start of the second half with half time substitute Isabel Ryan to the fore. The girls pulled a goal back when Charlotte Deegan sent Olivia Looby thru on goal and she calmly rounded the goalie to slot home. Five minutes later the girls were level molly o Brien stepped up from centre back and played a lovely ball straight through for Olivia Looby to run onto and she slotted home. It was game on and the next goal was vital Ballymackey thought they had got it when Olivia Looby again went through on goal but was pulled for offside. Lough Derg got the third via a deflection and scored a fourth soon after. It was game over and Lough Derg got two more goals in the last few minutes.
