Ballymackey u15 girls welcomed Knigh to ballinree today and suffered a 2-0 loss. The girls were unfortunate not to come away with a draw as they game was still scoreless with 10 minutes to go. The first half was even enough with ballymackey restricting Knigh to long rang efforts, and were unlucky not to lead at the half when denied by good goalkeeping just before half time. Into the second half and Knigh got on top but some resolute defending and hard work and good goalkeeping kept the game scoreless. With 10 mins to go Knigh got the lead when a cross into the box was tapped home. Ballymackey pushed for an equalizer but to no avail and conceded a second with the last kick of the game.
