Ballymackey u12B girls made the short trip to Moneygall this morning for their last group game. Playing against physically bigger girls, they gave a great account of themselves and were unlucky to lose 3-0. The girls found it tough going in the opening half and we’re under pressure for a lot of it, they conceded half way through half from a long range bullet of a shot. In the second half the girls give a better account of themselves and we’re unlucky not to equalise when Isabelle o Dwyer made a great run from full back and played in Emily Coffey who burst through and was denied by the post. A few minutes later Moneygall scored again when the same girl hit another long range effort into the corner. Ballymackey continued to create opportunities but couldn’t get a goal back. Moneygall scored the third with virtually the last kick of the game.
