Ballymackey u12B girls began their season with a hard fought 2-1 victory against Ardcroney. . After working hard early on, Ballymackey scored a well deserved goal from Katie Small who followed in on a blocked shot. The girls came close to adding more goals before half time with Robyn Kelly and Tess Thompson the standouts in the first half, but were denied by the Ardcroney goalkeeper. Ardcroney equalised shortly after half time, but from then on Ballymackey had the most of the chances to close out the game. After coming close a few minutes earlier, Ballymackey scored the winning goal 5 minutes from the end. Katie small found Robyn Kelly with a lovely ball across the box and Robyn expertly finished at the near post.
