Ballymackey U16 Girls lost 2-0 at home to Knigh United. It was a close game with us conceding 2 messy goals and not having luck in front of goals despite creating lots of scoring opportunity. The scoreboard is the only negative from a great performance from the girls. Their effort and workrate was immense and they coupled this with a great display of skill, composure and excellent decision making in possession. All 14 girls who played were really on top of their games and showcased how we believe the game of football should be played. Hard to pick stand outs with all the girls giving their all but mentions to, Phoebe Sage for running herself into the ground for the team, Chelsea White for being at her creative best, Maria Parejo who showed their is steel to go with her skill, Samantha Hogan who was a real handfull to her opponents, Chloe McAuliffe for shear determination and fantastic leadership and our player of the match was Kelsey Hogan who thundered into the game when introduced and lifted the performances of the whole team.
