The Ballymackey u13 girls second team welcomed Moneygall to a breezy Ballinree this morning. The wind didn't disrupt proceedings too much as both teams to their credit played some nice football. Playing with the breeze in the first half Moneygall edged the proceedings and scored the only goal of the half in the 14th minute.

Ballymackey conceded a 2nd just after the restart and it it was an uphill battle from there. With the aid of the elements the visiting goalkeeper was the busier of the two as Ballymackey pressed to get back into the game. Mioda O'Shea, Sadhb Connolly, Grace Quinn and Saoirse Ryan all with efforts on target but all saved and gathered confidently. Moneygall got a 3rd as Ballymackey threw the kitchen sink at it to try to get a goal and were caught on the break with only 2 minutes to go.

So another good team performance by the Ballymackey girls who are playing 2 years above their age level in some cases.
