We are delighted that our Calf raring fundraiser is progressing despite the repercussions of the pandemic. We have secured donations of around 30 calves that are being kept on behalf of the club. Thanks to all the local farmers that have so generously supported us in these uncertain times.
Local Agri Businesses have also rowed in behind this fundraiser to help out the farmers with the Raring. Dan Duignan of Progressive Genetics is giving 5 beef semen straws to every dairy farmer who provides a calf
Liffey Mills, Arrabawn co,op. and Toomevara Agri/Grennans have donated a pallet of meal to be shared among the dairy farmers.
Agritec through Brian Gaynor(agent) have jointly donated a 25kg mineral lick for every farmer who gives a calf.
And Central auctions will aid in the sale of the cattle in 2021.
With restrictions due to Covid 19 eased the Club are currently arranging for deliveries of the meal to be made to all the farmers.
