Ballymackey under 12 girls bowed out of the National cup today with a 5-1 defeat to Peamount in Dublin, Ballymackey started the brighter and could have been ahead early on only to be denied by the peamount goalie, after that peamount got on top and scored 2 goals to leave the half time score 2-0. ballymackey tryed their best in the second half to get back into it and with 14 minutes left got the goal when charlotte deegan broke through and her shot was saved by the goalie but olivia looby was on hand to score the rebound. however soon after peamount scored two goals from corners and added a fifth before the finish. ballymackey never gave up and battled to the finish but were beaten by the better team on the day, we would like to wish peamount best of luck in the rest of the competition and to say thanks for the refreshments and food afterwards. panel :- emma o connell, isabel ryan, anna hartnett, abigail armstrong, grainne troy, olivia fitzpatrick, lily kate kenneally, niamh spain, olivia looby, charlotte deegan, aoibhe hassett, amy hackett, caoimhe cleary, maddy england, mary kate purtill, molly conway, lauren cleary, sophie o farrell, clodagh murphy and dervla ryan.
