Ballymackey U12 Boys overcame neighbours Nenagh to progress to the last 32 in the National Trophy. Ballymackey took the lead with a really well taken goal with Kian Kennedy and Micheal Fitzpatrick combining to set up Dan Daly for a first time finish. Ballymackey created some more good opportunities but Nenagh levelled with a neat finish from Max Coughlan. Ballymackey retook the lead when Micheal Fitzpatrick scored a good goal to put us up 2-1 at the break. The second half opened with Paul Williams and Craig Kennedy swapping passes to set up Micheal Fitzpatrick who scored with a lovely finish. Theo Dunne played in a great through ball for Craig Kennedy to score and further goals followed from Dan Daly and Craig again.The defence of Conal Hartnett, Aidan O Gorman and Oliver Duff were magnificent and also Pairic Sheedy when he came on played well and did a great job in front of Tadgh Murphy in goals who despite carrying an injury did well with anything when called upon. The midfield of Kian Kennedy, Dan Daly ,Theo Dunne and Paul Williams put in serious amount of work throughout the match and will sleep tonight. Up front Micheal Fitzpatrick had a great game not only scoring two but also an assist and even ended up at centre half where did a good job and last word goes to Craig Kennedy who got a knock as soon as he came on but bounced back up and scored two goals and set up another.
