Happy new year to all
We look forward to an exciting 2020 which will see the completion of our new Community Building.
2019 has been another huge year for Ballymackey FC on and off the field. 2019 saw us receive a Nenagh Guardian Sports Award, receive a civic reception from Tipperary County Council, make presentations at the Annual Club Development Conference and the Women's Football Annual Convention. On the Field we had plenty of success with trophies won at various age groups from U12 to Senior, boys and girls to men and women and more importantly huge participation numbers as our membership continues to grow. 2019 saw us hold the largest ever Girls Camp in Ireland as 130 girls attended our Soccer Sisters Easter Camp, with the camp selling out in 24 hours. 2019 saw the award of €45000 in Clár funding for a new carpark and €150000 in Leader Funding towards our Community Centre, with both projects underway. A remarkable year for the club is down to the efforts of a lot of people both inside our club and also outside of our Club. To bookend the year we would like to take the opportunity to thank as many as we can think of. So thank you to our clubs 2 hard working committees, our coaches and managers, all who support our fund raising efforts, our sponsors, our parents and our players. From outside we would like to acknowledge and thank those involved in running our leagues and those committed to growing the game of Football in North Tipp, the NT&DL, the Tipperary Ladiessoccer League the Combined Counties League and the NTSFL the coaches of the NTSFL Emerging Talent Squads, the Coaches of the FAI Centers of Excellence and also our fellow North Tipp Clubs, the Isrs North Tipperary Branch referees and the wider North Tipp Football Family. 2019 saw record numbers of our members have the opportunity to play football with their Schools both Primary and Post Primary and we would like to thank the Schools, their Teachers and their Principals for affording the kids that opportunity. 2019 has been a tough year for the FAI but we would like to acknowledge the FAI Staff at a hard time for them. 2019 saw us receive help from the Coach Education Department, the Club Development Department, Tom O Shea and the Grassroots Department, David Lenanne and the Women’s Department, Easter and Summer Camps staff and especially FAI Development Officer James Scott who is definitely Ireland’s hardest working Development Officer. Publicly has played a great part in our Clubs continued growth and we would like to thank Shane Brophy and the Nenagh Guardian for the great local coverage. The continued development of our facility is dependent on us accessing funding from various sources and we would like to thank our TD's and all our local representatives in Tipperary County Council and the North Tipperary Leader Program who helped us throughout the year. We are sorry to anyone who assisted us that we have left out of the list as such has been the support we have received it is hard to think of everyone. Happy New Year everyone
